Ing Maurstad
Honored in 2004
Ing Maurstad is a past president of the Nebraska Golf Association, a past Sectional Chairman for the United States Golf Associaton and a longtime rules Official.
Among the tournaments Ing - short for Ingolf - has assisted are two Nike Tour events at Dakota Dunes, S.D., the 1999 NCAA Championship, the 1996 U.S. Women's Amateur at Firethorn, the Big 12 men's championship and countless Nebraska Amateur and match-play men's championships, women's state tournaments and high school tournaments.
He helped establish the Nebraska Junior Golf Association and has been active in the Kansas-Nebraska Cup matches for the state's junior boys. He teaches golf at the Beatrice YMCA for seniors and juniors and continues to serve as an assistant coach for the Beatrice high school girls golf team.
A native of Newman Grove, Neb., Ing is a graduate of Augustana College, who has been in the insurance industry since 1951 and who has lived in Beatrice since 1955. He and his wife Marilyn, who will celebrate their 55th
