Carolyn Ryder

Carolyn Ryder has been president of the Nebraska and Arizona women's golf associations, executive secretary of NWAGA for 11 years. and an accomplished amateur golfer. A native of Troy, Alabama. she served on the NWAGA for 21 years. Besides her executive positions, she was tournament chair and course rating chair during a period in which all of the state' s golf courses were re-rated for USGA GHIN handicap purposes. She was an active member of the USGA Women's Handicap Committee for 15 years and served on the Women's Trans-National board from 1981 to 1986.
When she and her late husband, 1990 Davis honoree and Nebraska Golf Hall of Farner Del Ryder, moved to Arizona she became active in the Arizona association as a member of Desert Hills Golf Club in Green Valley. She served as president and tournament chair and is presently on the course rating and rules committees.
Her playing record includes six ladies club championships at Riverside Golf Club in Grand Island, two Grand Island city titles and one club championship at Lochland Country Club in Hastings
